The Festive Season is officially open!

This year, Sarlat invites you to discover its Christmas market through the magical universe of Lapland, where Santa is carefully preparing the long list of gifts to be distributed end of the month.

The city puts on its Christmas attires

From the snowy roundabouts with polar bears to its extensive lighting decorations on the pedestrian streets, you definitely need to pay a visit to this charming old town, when the sunset lets appear Santa through a play of light and shadow.

At the bend of the old streets, you will discover mischievous teddy bears playing around many iconic buildings such as the house of the famous philosopher La Boétie, the church or even up to the top of the town hall!

However, the Christmas Market in Sarlat has been growing every year and remains the highlight of the city – classified among the Top 5 Christmas Markets in France! – with more than 70 chalets offering creative and handmade gift ideas but also a gourmet section for the those looking for a mulled wine and some specialities from the region!

Furthermore, a giant ice rink welcomes all family members with festive music, and an extensive program of activities has been scheduled for the whole month!
